The KIC Young Writers’ Forum will mark the seventh anniversary of its founding on Tuesday, February 15th, at 18:00 in the DODEST hall.

Members of the group will read their poetry and short stories: Barbara Delać, Luka Boljević, Jana Radičević, Nikola Ćorac, Nataša Gudelj, Milena Radević, Marko Stanojkovski, Milica Bošnjak, Anđela Bulajić, Nejra Belegu i Stefanija Brčić.

The guests of the program will also be writers: Slađana Kavarić Mandić, Nikola Nikolić, Milo Masoničić, Marija Dragnić, Ilija Đurović, Slobodan Ivanović, Maša Seničić, Srđan Gagić, Ognjen Aksentijević, Vigor Vukotić, Lana Bojanić, Monika Herceg, Natalija Milovanović i Tanja Božić.

As in previous years, on the eve of Valentine’s Day, the National Library “Radosav Ljumović” is organizing an action called “Blind date with a book”.
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (February 14th, 15th, and 16th), in addition to the desired book,the users of the Library will be able to choose another one as a part of this action. When choosing a book, those interested will have only a few basic information about the work itself, while the author and the title of the book remain a surprise.
The goal of this activity, in addition to celebrating this holiday, is to encourage love for books, but also to encourage readers to get out of their reading comfort zones and enrich their reading habits.
All books are categorized according to age, and participation in the action is possible only with the Library membership card.

Popular artist, performer and author of sevdalinka Božo Vrećo will will hold concerts organized by the Cultural – Information Center “Budo Tomović” on March 3. and 4. on the Big stage, starting at 20:00.

Due to his authenticity and the emotion he selflessly spreads and shares, Božo Vrećo is traditionally a welcome guest in Podgorica and at KIC. This time as well, Podgorica audience will enjoy the magnificent voice and the unusual, original stage performance of the artist who performs, creates and literally lives the art he has chosen. Božo Vrećo will perform traditional sevdalinkas and original compositions with the support of the band.

The Secretariat for Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development and the city company Zelenilo, in cooperation with the local community, are organizing the action For Healthy Lungs of our city .

Aware of the need for preservation and continuous enrichment of the plant fund, and the humanization of the area in which we live, we are launching another action of afforestation of hills in the vicinity of Podgorica. These are the largest and most important green areas in the city and favorite places for rest and recreation.

During February, actions are planned on Malo Brdo, Dajbabska gora and Gorica (Lješkopolje). In addition to the contribution to the enrichment of the plant fund, the special value of the action is the joint action of the local community and the Capital, and it is aimed at improving the quality of living environment of current and future generations.

We will start the with the action on the 12th. February, by afforestation of the selected location on Malo brdo, by the joint forces of the representatives of the Capital and the locals of Rogami, Vranićke njive and Vranići.

The capital continues to make a significant contribution to preserving and improving the condition of green areas in Podgorica by organizing these and similar actions.

On Saturday, 12th of February, in the National Library “Radosav Ljumović”, there will be organised a Bibliotherapy – a workshop with children that encourages growth and development. Bibliotherapy is a method that began to be used in the world during the 20th century. Reading leads to personal growth, development, knowledge about oneself, others, changes in behavior and attitudes, relief from stress, emotional expression, strengthening self-confidence …

The workshop will be held at the Children’s Department from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Bibliotherapy is intended for children aged 10 to 14, and application is not required for participation.

The participants will be interviewed by Tamar Milić, MA, psychologist, and the workshop program includes: 1) reading a short text that is thematically selected according to age and the phenomenon being processed (fears, tolerance); 2) short text analysis; 3) encouraging participants to express their experience of the text, offer a constructive solution and alternative stories. In that way, the book gained a cathartic function and role during the formation of acceptable attitudes.

Tonight in the National Library “Radosav Ljumović” will be held author’s evening by Maksim Vujačić.

Maksim Vujačić is a poet, publicist, journalist, author of short stories and dramas, as well as two novels. He was born in Pljevlja in 1950. , but lives in Nikšić from year 1. He spent his working life as a journalist and editor in Nikšić Newspapers, Radio Nikšić and Television Nikšić. He retired in 2016. He is the winner of the Oslobodjenje Nikšić Award, the Pledge, the Vladimir Mijušković Literary Community Award, but also the Association of Montenegrin Journalists for his special contribution to the development of journalism. He is an independent publisher, the founder of the library Archive of Memories, where he published 35 of his own and 15 books by other authors. He has been editing the program of the Society of Friends and Admirers of Nikšić for twenty-five years. He also became a producer of feature and documentary films…

The promotion will be held in the Marko Miljanov hall at 6 pm, and the conversation with the author will be led by Đorđe Šćepović.
