Literary program of KIC Budo Tomović on April 22nd at 8 PM in the American Corner will present the novel “Lovište samoće” by Dragana Tripković.

“Lovište samoće” is the first novel by the prominent Montenegrin poet and playwright Dragana Tripković, published by @platformaknjiga.me and @okf.cetinje. The novel emerges from the experience of the pandemic and social crisis in Montenegro, but resists being reduced to a simple pandemic story. Through the motif of isolation, the novel explores the boundaries between rural and urban life, professional and intimate spheres, instinct and rationality, body and politics, freedom and security.

Two narrative threads—a contemporary urban noir about corruption and media pressure, and a rural-mythological return of the protagonist to her homeland—intertwine through characters and symbols such as the snake, which represents persistent life energy, transformation, and ongoing crisis.
