The signing of the contract and the official handover of the transformer sculpture “Teodorus”, created by Montenegrin artist Danilo Baletić, took place in Podgorica today. This marks the official completion of the project realized in cooperation with the Capital City, the Tourism Organization of Podgorica, and several city enterprises.
The Director of the Tourism Organization of Podgorica, Dragan Grnović, pointed out that this project has been intensively worked on for over a year. He noted that it emerged from a combined need to offer a new attraction in the city to tourists and citizens, and the artist’s desire to place one of his recognizable works specifically in Podgorica.
He recalled that the funding for the creation of the sculpture was provided by the Tourism Organization of Podgorica, the Deponija company donated the scrap metal from which the sculpture was made, while the work was carried out on land owned by the city enterprise Zelenilo.
The Director of TO Podgorica thanked all partners for their cooperation, especially the artist for his effort and hard work. He expressed confidence that this will be just the beginning of similar initiatives that will further enhance the cultural, artistic, and tourist offering of the capital city.
Danilo Baletić thanked for the opportunity to create the sculpture “Teodorus” and for his work finding a place in the very heart of Podgorica.
