🎞️🎥🥇 The first cinema screening of an adapted film in Montenegro

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the promotion and screening of the adapted version of the film “Živi i zdravi” (Forever Hold Your Peace) by director @thelushtichan, which will take place on June 23rd, 2026, at 20:00 at @crnogorskakinoteka.

This marks the first time that a film adapted for visually impaired people via audio description will be screened in a cinema hall in Montenegro, opening a new chapter in improving the accessibility of cinematographic art.

The adaptation of the film was realized within the project “Listen to the Image, Feel the Story”, jointly implemented by the Homer Cultural Center, the JU Library of Accessible Formats of Montenegro “Vojislav Minić”, and @fdu_cetinje_ucg, with financial support from @filmskicentarcrnegore, through the Public Call for co-financing complementary activities for 2025.

Special value was brought to the project by the students of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, who participated in all phases of the film adaptation during their training and practical work – from creating the audio description, through interpreting and recording the narration, to the editing and final production of the adapted version.

This screening represents the result of the joint work of students, mentors, and project partners, but also an important step towards creating a more accessible and inclusive cultural space for all citizens.

Welcome, let’s mark this significant moment for Montenegrin cinematography and accessible culture together.
