MOD FEST (Minority Open Days) is a Montenegrin film festival dedicated to themes of national minorities, culture, and human rights, held in Podgorica. The third edition of the festival is scheduled for April 23 and 24, 2026, at the Crnogorska kinoteka. It focuses on fiction and documentary films about diversity and inclusion.
Minority Open Days, the only film festival in Montenegro fully dedicated to the themes of national minorities, will be held for the third time on April 23 and 24, 2026, at the Montenegrin Cinematheque in Podgorica.
After two successful editions, during which the audience filled the Cinematheque hall to capacity, MOD FEST is returning once again to the same venue this year, confirming its position as a relevant cultural and social platform that promotes dialogue, understanding, and the visibility of minority communities through film art. The third edition of the festival brings a competitive program of domestic and international films dealing with issues of identity, belonging, diversity, and social inclusion.
For the international selection of MOD FEST 2026, several hundred films from around the world were submitted, which further confirms the growing international interest and recognition of the festival. 🎬
