The Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro is pleased to announce “The State as a School”, an exhibition presenting the Slovenian collective IRWIN in dialogue with their long-standing collaborators Eda Čufer, Zdenka Badovinac, Inke Arns and Mihnea Mircan.

The exhibition explores the production of knowledge and historical memory beyond dominant narratives established after 1989, focusing on the dissolution of Yugoslavia, post-Cold War cartography and the transformations that shaped the post-Yugoslav space.

🎨 Through talks, lectures, ready-made photographic series, documented performances and video works, the gallery becomes a territory of NSK State in Time — an embassy, a school and a space for critical reflection and political imagination.

📚 Each participant in the school will receive a copy of the “The State as a School” notebook.
