Regional park Komovi

The Komovi mountain range stretches in the southeastern part of Montenegro, between Bjelasica and Prokletije, and the rivers Lim and Tara.

The Komovi, along with Durmitor and Bjelasica, are the most impressive massifs in the Dinaric system of mountains. The diverse and unique flora and fauna, numerous crystal-clear mountain springs and rivers, numerous cultural monuments, churches and monasteries, as well as the warmth of the people who live under the Komovi, cannot leave you indifferent. On the contrary, when you find yourself in the kingdom of beech and pine forests, above which the Komovi rise like titans in the sea, your breath is taken away by the grandeur of nature.

The Komovi are united under their name with three mountains: Vasojevićki Kom at 2,460 meters; Kučki Kom at 2,487 meters; and Ljevorečki Kom at 2,453 meters. The Komovi are high around 2,500 meters, and their heights cannot be seen even with the most modern binoculars.
