On Monday, July 22, at 8 PM, in the House of Stojanović in Podgorica, there will be held an author’s evening of Aleksandra Vujisić. Aleksandra Vujisić was born in 1979. She is the author of the poetry collections for adults “I bleed by letters” (IC “Poetikum”, Serbia, June 2022) and “The Elephant on the Trapeze” (supported by the Secretariat for Culture of the City of Podgorica, September 2023), as well as collection of poetry and prose for children “Childhood in the pocket” (published by the National Library “Radosav Ljumović”, Podgorica, July 2023). Her fourth book, the collection of poetry “Igrokaz” published by IC “Nova Poetika” from Belgrade, was recently published, in accordance with the first prize won at the regional competition “Golden Oak 2024”. Vujisić is the winner of several awards at international competitions and festivals, among which are recognitions from the magazine “The Poet” from the United Kingdom, the Association “Il Melleto di Guido Gozzano” from Italy and several awards won in the region. Her prose and poetry have appeared in anthologies in English, Spanish and Chinese. She is a professor of English language and literature,she speaks Italian and is involved in various projects. She started the Cultural Center “Čigralište” (www.bajke.me ), which promotes the importance of reading at an early age. The event is organized by the “Radosav Ljumović” National Library as part of the Podgorica Cultural Summer event. The moderator of the evening is prof. Dr. Aleksandra Nikčević Batrićević, while selected poetry and prose will be spoken by actress Branka Otašević.
