The Champions’ Tradition – Building the Future Through Diving

The traditional diving from the Vizier’s Bridge (Vezirov most), one of the most recognizable sports and tourist events in Podgorica, will be held on July 18th, 2026, on the banks of the Morača River.

The event is organized by the Secretariat for Sport of the Capital City of Podgorica, while the technical executor is the Sports and Recreation Society “Vezir.”

Our partnership with the Tourist Organization of Podgorica and Red Bull is of great importance to us, as they have contributed to making a significant step forward compared to last year.

As part of the program, the Youth Traditional Diving Cup will also be organized, and the Vizier’s Bridge will be the final and most important stop of this year’s competition. In this way, July 18th will not only be a celebration of traditional diving but also an opportunity to showcase young talents who will continue to nurture this unique sports tradition in the future.

A special attraction of this year’s event will be the exhibition program of high-diving (acrobatic diving), which will offer the audience an additional spectacle and a new dimension to experiencing this sport. On this occasion, in cooperation with Red Bull, Podgorica will host one of the world’s most famous divers, Orlando Duque, a multiple world champion and pioneer of modern cliff diving, whose name is synonymous with world-class diving and the promotion of this sport on a global level. An additional international dimension will be added to the event by the arrival of the prominent Slovenian diver Aleš Karničnik, who will participate in the exhibition program alongside Orlando and complement this year’s spectacle on the Morača with his performances. He has contributed to the promotion of high diving and is one of the organizers of the acrobatic diving competition in Maribor.
