The play “DEATH IN DUBROVNIK” 🎭 is directed by Petar Pejaković and produced by the Drama Studio “Prazan prostor”, in collaboration with the Human Rights Action organization, the play “Death in Dubrovnik” will be performed on Monday, May 15 at 8 PM at the Studio Stage of the Montenegrin National Theatre (CNP).
Cast: Slaviša Grubiša, Emir Ćatović, Pavle Prelević, Miloš Kašćelan, Kristijan Blečić, and Maša Božović.
The dramaturg is Anja Pletikosa, music by Ilija Gajević, costume design by Lina Leković, and set design by Ivanka Vana Prelević.
The text of the play is based on more than thirty testimonies collected by Human Rights Action and “Prazan prostor”. The production was created within the project “The Siege of Dubrovnik 1991–1992: Memories of War so that Evil is Not Repeated”, supported by the European Union through the regional project EU Support to Confidence Building in the Western Balkans, and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Described by the jury of the 35th Croatian Drama Festival Marulićevi dani in Split as a theatrical masterpiece, “Death in Dubrovnik” won the award for Best Overall Production at this year’s edition of the prestigious festival.
