The play “Bed of Leaves”, based on a text by Katarina Nikolić and directed by Sandra Vujović, will be performed on Wednesday, May 27, in the DODEST hall at 7:00 p.m.
This is a performance that brings a subtle, emotionally powerful and layered stage story about contemporary man and his inner silence in an era of alienation, deep personal questioning, the discovery of various identity layers, artificial intelligence, fewer intelligent people and more intelligent things.
“The play explores the emotional loneliness of the modern urban individual, the question of invisibility within functional relationships, and the subtle fractures of identity in a technologically perfect but emotionally empty space,” notes the director Sandra Vujović.
The cast includes Milica Kekić, Mirjana Spaić, and Đorđije Tatić. Music is by Irena Popović Dragović. The stage design is by Zorica Baković and Boris Vukezić, while visual identity, costume, photography, and graphic design are by Danica Janković.
“Bed of Leaves” is an intimate, poetic, and emotionally precise theatre piece that opens space for love, vulnerability, and recognition, while also inviting the audience to confront their own absences, needs, and unspoken emotions.
The project is co-produced by Bunt Scena, Pigmalion d.o.o., and KIC „Budo Tomović“, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro and the Secretariat for Culture of the Capital City of Podgorica.
Tickets priced at €5 are available online at www.kic.podgorica.me, via the KIC Podgorica app, and at the KIC box office.
