🎦The film “Bitter Christmas/Amarga Navidad” (2026) by the celebrated Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar will be screened as part of the “Masters of Film Direction” revue on Friday, October 23rd, in the digitized cinema hall of KIC “Budo Tomović” at 8:00 PM.

🔹️The story follows Elsa, a commercial director who, after her mother’s death, faces a pain she tries to escape by finding refuge in work. Only when a health crisis forces her to pause does she decide to leave Madrid and travel to Lanzarote, searching for a respite and space for inner reflection. In parallel, the story of Raúl unfolds, a film director and screenwriter going through a creative crisis, who finds inspiration in the life events of the people around him. Intertwining the destinies of his characters, Almodóvar shapes a multilayered cinematic story about memory, closeness, and the limits of artistic freedom. “Bitter Christmas” brings Almodóvar’s recognizable perspective on human relationships and contradictions, exploring the thin line between lived experience and its artistic interpretation.
