✨ The exhibition Adin and Mia Hebib will open on Thursday, April 2 at 8 PM at the Modern Gallery.
The exhibition of Bosnian-Herzegovinian artist Adin Hebib will present his recent work—coloristically intense, associative, and figurative painting compositions of various formats, as well as painted ceramics. The exhibition is complemented by unique designer jewelry created by Mia Hebib.
🔹 The exhibition will be opened by art historian and curator Selma Andrijašević.
In the accompanying catalogue text, Andrijašević notes, among other things:
“It could be said that Adin Hebib’s paintings, besides their many meanings, reflect the character and destiny of a country, what it is—today and through history. But you would be mistaken if you thought his paintings depict a tragic and terrible theater, embody destruction, or are sad and harsh. They are not. They are paintings of a great victory, a triumph over historical destiny. And paintings about victories are always optimistic and bright, just like all human victories. His paintings bring airy light, like a new day, and only through a painting of victory can one sense what has been overcome. Every painting about destiny is floral and sunlit, just like the homeland he comes from. And his homeland is Mostar, that Dubrovnik on the river, a city where the Mediterranean reaches furthest into the continent.”
🔹 The exhibition will be open to visitors until April 27, 2026.
