We continue with the presentation of films you will be able to watch at this year’s Rocumentary Days. On Thursday at Kružni tok, starting at 7 PM, the audience will have the opportunity to watch an exceptional film about the work of one of the most unique and influential authors of the former Yugoslavia – Zoran Predin.

The feature-length documentary film Praslovan, directed by Slobodan Maksimović, tells the story of Zoran Predin’s youth in working-class Maribor, the immense fame and popularity he gained in Yugoslavia with the band Lačni Franz, and his notable solo career with numerous hits that became classics of our popular music. His most famous songs in the film reflect significant social changes of that time, as well as personal milestones in his life. This intimate portrait does not only show the good times – the camera does not look away even when darkness falls, but continues to observe how it all affects his friends and family. The film also features important musical and pop-culture figures of the former Yugoslavia, including Đorđe Balašević, Branko Đurić, and Gabi Novak.
