An intimate theatrical confession accompanied by live music
“MRKI – I Haven’t Told You,” an original project by actor Marko Janketić, was born out of the need to continue an unfinished conversation. At the core of this intimate, deeply personal stage act is not a character, but a human being.

For the first time in front of an audience, Marko Janketić speaks under his own first and last name, revisiting the relationship with his father, the legendary actor Miša Janketić. Not as a homage or a biographical overview, but as the personal testimony of a son trying to say what he did not manage or know how to say in time.

A confession that opens up themes of growing up under a strong paternal authority, the acting profession and the burden of a last name, his own parenthood, life-shattering moments, vices, dilemmas, and attempts to change things for the better. A story about unspoken sentences and about love that is, despite everything, present.

The production is directed by Anđelka Stević Žugić in collaboration with Nikola Zavišić.

“MRKI – I Haven’t Told You” is not a performance to be observed from a distance. It is an evening of a personal story in which the boundary between the stage and life is blurred—a conversation that is late, but finally spoken. It is a story in which many will recognize a part of their own relationships, silences, and sentences that remained stuck in the throat, unsaid.
