The promotion of the book “In the Mirror of Memories – Netherlands” (“U ogledalu uspomena – Nizozemska”) by author Mevlija Islamović will be held on Thursday, September 3rd, at 7 PM (19:00 h), at the Stojanović House in Podgorica. The speakers at the promotion will include writer Jasenka Lalović, Prof. Dr. Saša Popović, and Prof. Dr. Draško Došljak. The conversation will be moderated by Amer Ramusović, MA.

Published by Nova Pobjeda, the book brings thirteen texts at the crossroads of essayistic prose, personal record, and cultural reflection.

Mevlija Islamović, born in Montenegro, has been living and working in the Netherlands for more than three decades. Between two countries and two cultures, an intimate record of identity, belonging, memories, and everyday life was born, but also of the similarities and differences that bring the two worlds closer.

“In the Mirror of Memories – Netherlands” is a story about a home that is not just a place, but also what we carry within us—a blend of the past we remember and the present we live.
