On Saturday, October 24th, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the Children’s Department of the “Radosav Ljumović” Public Library, a magical gathering awaits us with the picture book “Room on the Broom” by Julia Donaldson.

What will happen when a kind witch sets off on a journey on her broomstick, and is joined along the way by unusual friends? Is there enough room on the broom for everyone? And can friendship, unity, and bravery defeat even the greatest fear?
This cheerful, witty, and exciting story takes us into a world of imagination, where anyone can be an important part of the crew, and unity and readiness to help others become the greatest magic of all. Through encounters with interesting animals, children will discover how much friendship, kindness, mutual support, and bravery mean, but also that it is completely fine to feel scared sometimes.

During the workshop, children will:

• participate in interactive story reading filled with conversation, movement, and imagination;
• imitate animal sounds and movements and immerse themselves in their roles;
• explore what it means to be a good friend and why it is important to help others;
• “take off” on a magical broomstick through a game and discover how much better it is when we travel together;
• talk about fear, bravery, and ways we can encourage ourselves and others;
• jointly create a magical recipe for bravery, using the most unusual ingredients;
• develop speech, imagination, empathy, and cooperation through fun games and creative tasks.

The workshop is intended for children aged 5 to 8, and it is led by teacher Maja Petričević.
