“The masterclass addresses the ways in which archival material can be transformed into a film narrative that merges personal and collective memory. Through examples from my own films, I will analyze the process of selection, contextualization, and editing of found photographs and footage, with an emphasis on the boundary between documentary record and the author’s reconstruction of memory, as well as the question of personal and social responsibility when using archives in film.”
