🔹 Pero Nikčević was born on July 12, 1951, in Stubica near Nikšić, as the seventh child and fourth son in the family. After completing primary and secondary education, he enrolled in the Department of Fine Arts at the Higher Pedagogical Academy in Nikšić, graduating in 1971. He continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade, where he graduated in 1975. During his studies, he spent a period of academic training in Amsterdam in 1974.
In 1976, he moved to Paris as a scholarship holder of the French government, where he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts. His scholarship was extended, allowing him to remain in Paris until 1979. During this period, he actively exhibited and participated in group salons.
Since 1987, he has been permanently based in Paris, working as an independent artist and member of the “Maison des Artistes”. He has exhibited in Nikšić, Podgorica, Budva, Bar, Kotor, Herceg Novi, Belgrade, Novi Sad, Paris, London, and Amsterdam, and is the recipient of several important painting awards.
🔹 The curator of the exhibition is contemporary art theorist Selma Andrijašević.
🔹 The exhibition of academic artist Pero Nikčević titled “Feminine Nature” will open on May 14 at 8:00 PM at the Modern Gallery.
