The cultural event “Days of Dragan Radulović” will be officially opened on Monday, April 27 at 11:00 AM on the plateau in front of the Public Library “Radosav Ljumović” in Podgorica. The event will be opened by Deputy Mayor Nađa Ljiljanić, while the program will feature performances by children from the Art Studio “Arlekin” and the choir “Zvjezdice”.

During the ceremony, two important awards will be presented: the “Dragan Radulović” Literary Award for 2025, which was awarded to the prominent Serbian writer Dejan Aleksić for the book “Giants, Scarecrows and Something Else”, as well as the Award for the Best Children’s Book in 2025, presented by the Association of Montenegrin Writers for Children and Youth, which this year went to the collection “Guardians of Treasure, Komski Tales 2” by Sonja Živaljević, Velimir Ralević, and Žarko Vučinić.

The program continues the same day at 12:00 PM in the Grand Hall of the KIC Budo Tomović with the children’s play “Tobija”, produced by the Youth Theatre of Sarajevo and directed by Mario Drmać.

In the afternoon, from 1:30 PM, well-known regional and local writers will meet with students of “Savo Pejanović” Primary School, while at 3:30 PM a promotion of the new double issue of the magazine “Osmijeh” will be held at “Milorad Musa Burzan” Primary School.

The first day of the program will conclude at 6:00 PM with the promotion of Aleksić’s award-winning book in the Dodest Hall of the KIC Budo Tomović.

On the second day of the event, April 28, at 5:00 PM, a promotion of the poetry collection “Growing Up in Verse” – Children’s Voice Through Poetry will be held in the “Marko Miljanov” hall of the Public Library “Radosav Ljumović”.

An hour later, at the same venue, another poetry collection titled “She and Other Poems” by Una and Ema Perazić will be presented.

In the evening, at 8:00 PM, the audience will have the opportunity to attend a conversation with one of the most important regional children’s writers, Ljubivoje Ršumović, rounding off this year’s program in a special and inspiring way.
