A segment of the #COP31 Bike Ride caravan is arriving in Montenegro – straight from Italy! 🇮🇹🚲🇲🇪

Two weeks ago, a group of cyclists set off on a long journey from Padua to Belgrade, and then further toward Turkey. Currently, they are riding through the Balkans on their way to Antalya, which will host COP31 – the UN Climate Change Conference in November.

At the border with Albania, they will be welcomed by cyclists from Montenegro, where a symbolic handover of the cycling relay baton will take place. This relay originally started in Brazil and is traveling across multiple continents on its way to Antalya.

What is the goal? 💡 To highlight the importance of investing in cycling infrastructure through meetings with local communities and authorities along the route, and to encourage concrete policies that will make cycling a more accessible, safer, and practical way of moving around. 🚴‍♂️

This Monday, September 7th, we are organizing a gathering with the participants at CKZ Ribnica starting at 5:00 PM. We invite everyone interested to join us! 🤝

You will have the chance to meet the group, hear their stories, experiences, and interesting anecdotes from the road, and we will also screen a short documentary film about last year’s COP30 Bike Ride tour. 📽️

Afterward, we will hop on our bikes and ride through Podgorica together, sending them off as they continue their journey. 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️
