🎻 VUJADIN KRIVOKAPIĆ VIOLIN RECITAL

Prominent Montenegrin violinist Vujadin Krivokapić will hold a solo concert as part of the KIC “Budo Tomović” music program on Tuesday, November 17th, at 8 PM, at the Modern Gallery of the Museums and Galleries of Podgorica.

The program includes Partita No. 2 in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, as well as works by contemporary composers Valentin Silvestrov (Two Serenades) and Donald Grantham (Black-eyed Suzy), which will be premiered in Montenegro.

⭐️ About the Artist

Vujadin Krivokapić (1976) is one of the prominent Montenegrin violinists and a full professor of violin at the Music Academy in Cetinje. He completed his primary and secondary music education in Podgorica, and graduated with a degree in violin from the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade, in the class of Professor Dejan Mihajlović. He continued his master’s studies in Belgrade, and later at the University of Montreal, in the class of Eleonora Turovsky.

He has achieved a rich international concert career, performing as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe, North America, and Asia. He has performed in renowned halls in Montreal, Vienna, Singapore, and the United States, as well as on major stages in Montenegro. He has served as concertmaster for the Montenegrin Chamber Orchestra, Montenegrin Strings, and the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to his performing career, he is dedicated to pedagogical work and mentoring young violinists. He has conducted masterclasses at universities and conservatories in the USA, Romania, and China, as well as at the International Strings Festival in Perast. From 2019 to 2022, he served as the Vice Dean for Arts at the Music Academy in Cetinje. His repertoire covers works spanning from the Baroque era to contemporary music, with a particular focus on solo and chamber literature.

This is Vujadin Krivokapić’s fourth concert within the series dedicated to solo violin music, organized by KIC “Budo Tomović” at the Modern Gallery venue.
