On Monday, May 25th, starting at 8 PM, a concert will be held on the Main Stage of the Montenegrin Music Center as part of the project BALKAN AFFAIRS – The Fragile Art of Living Together (BALKANSKE PRIČE / Krhka umjetnost suživota) by the ensemble Neue Vocalsolisten.

Through an immersive artistic process, seven composers from the countries of the former Yugoslavia reflect on the period of the Balkan wars, as well as the different perspectives through which the peoples of the Western Balkans interpret their shared history today. In a sober, ironic, or even sarcastic tone, these seven works address existential experiences caught between religious and ethnic conflicts, nationalism, ex-Yugoslav nostalgia and EU integration enthusiasm, hyperinflation, physical and psychological violence, but also the radical optimism of the post-war generation.

This is a concert of exceptional media and aesthetic diversity, as well as strong artistic urgency.
