Chamber music is a space where musicians meet musicians, but also where soul meets soul. In smaller ensembles, we learn to listen to one another, to recognize the breath, reaction, silence and energy of the partner with whom we share the music.

For the Montenegro Festival Orchestra, this work is particularly important. What we learn in smaller groups becomes the foundation for the collective breathing of the entire ensemble and for creating a powerful orchestral sound.

We are especially pleased to realize this concert under the mentorship of Timea Kalmar from Novi Sad, an artist who has been dedicated to chamber music for almost three decades and who, from the very beginning, has been an important supporter and part of our artistic journey.

The programme will feature works by S. Prokofiev, A. Dvořák and F. Mendelssohn.

This gathering is a wonderful prelude to what follows the very next day on the Main Stage—the concert of the Montenegro Festival Orchestra entitled “Waiting for Your Sign”.
