The educational exhibition “Hidden Forest Heroes” will open on Monday, September 28th, at 8:00 PM at Kuslev’s House.

The exhibition explores the world of fungi and their role in the forest. Fungi are its hidden heroes because they sustain forest trees and play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of nature.

Through this exhibition, we highlight the importance of forests in environmental conservation and present modern, scientifically grounded insights into forests, fungi, and their interconnectedness. It also showcases a selection of past scientific work and professional publications in this field in Montenegro.

The display features a large number of live exhibits brought directly from the laboratories of the Biotechnical Faculty and from nature. Adding special artistic value to the exhibition are photographs by Branislav Perić, selected from the cycle “Fungi and Flowering Plants of Montenegro,” which we are delighted to present to a new generation of the Montenegrin audience.

The exhibition will run until October 16th, 2026, and educational workshops will be organized throughout its duration.
