The jubilee, 20th International Podgorica Book and Education Fair is opening its doors soon!

The official opening ceremony will be held in the Chamber Hall of the Music Centre of Montenegro, while the fair program will take place in the exhibition space of the Big Fashion center in Podgorica. The fair will be officially opened by the Minister of Culture and Media of the Government of Montenegro, Tamara Vujović, while the opening keynote speech will be delivered by one of the most significant playwrights and writers in the region, Dušan Kovačević.

As part of the ceremony, speeches will also be given by the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, the President of the Capital City Assembly Jelena Borovinić Bojović, Deputy Mayor of Podgorica Nađa Ljiljanić, as well as the director of the publishing house Nova knjiga and founder of the International Podgorica Book and Education Fair, Predrag Uljarević.

This year’s jubilee edition of the Podgorica Book and Education Fair, held at TC BIG FASHION from May 11 to May 17 under the slogan “Building Culture”, brings dozens of renowned domestic and international authors, more than 100 exhibitors, and over 100,000 titles with major fair discounts. During seven days, the Fair will once again confirm why it is one of the most important and most visited cultural events in Montenegro.

As every year, the Fair hosts well-known domestic, regional, and international names. This year’s guests include winners of major European and world literary awards, translated into many languages, such as Ana Merino and Jonas Lüscher.

Visitors can expect book promotions, author talks, panel discussions, performances, literary workshops, exhibitions, and meetings with some of the most important contemporary literary figures.

The Fair once again confirms its role as one of the most important meeting points of books, culture, and education in the region.

The jubilee 20th International Podgorica Book and Education Fair is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Media and the Capital City.

The Fair is also supported by the Parliament of Montenegro, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, and the Ministry of European Affairs. The general sponsor is MTEL Montenegro. Additional support is provided by EPCG, CEDIS, Luštica, TO Montenegro, and many others.
