On Monday, June 15, at the 17th Underhill Fest, we premiere the film “Spomenik revolucije” (The Monument to the Revolution) by Montenegrin director Mladen Ivanović.

The film starts from the Monument to the Uprising of the People of Banija and Kordun, one of the most significant monument creations built in the former Yugoslavia.

Through years of filming, encounters with its accidental and less accidental visitors, and careful observation of the space, “Spomenik revolucije” captures the gradual decay of the monument, but also a much broader process: the erosion of collective memory and the values that this space symbolized.
