From the award-winning director of “Honeyland”, Tamara Kotevska, comes a visually powerful story set in the heart of rural Macedonia. Nikola, a farmer struggling with the harsh reality of new government policies, cannot sell his produce, or even his land.
When his family leaves for abroad in search of a better life, Nikola takes a job as a worker at a waste disposal site, where he encounters an injured white stork named Silijan. As he nurses the bird back to health, an unusual bond forms between man and animal. The result is a deeply moving film that touches upon climate change, economic migration, resilience, and the quiet power of connection.
