The forests are cleared, the trees are cut down, and people are taking revenge on themselves and their environment.
The documentary fairy tale “Kukata Miti”, directed by Daniel Kötter, takes us on a cinematic journey through landscapes of loss in Germany, Indonesia, and the DR Congo.
It is a story about the relationships between people and nature, but also about the possibility of creating new connections between distant places, beings, and communities.
The film explores the consequences of the exploitation of nature and poses a provocative question: what if environmental protection becomes a matter of protecting people from the revenge of the forest?
