The Krgović Winery is located in the Podgorica region, about 4 kilometers north of the city center, at an altitude of 45 meters above sea level in the village of Rogami, near the ancient site of Duklja. The winery covers an area of around 20,000 square meters and has a perfect combination of soil, climate, proximity to two rivers (Morača and Zeta), a large number of sunny days, low rainfall, and a vineyard location. This combination of factors allows for the growth of grape varieties that produce exceptional quality wines with specific aromas and flavors.
The Krgović vineyard consists of 12,000 grapevines of many varieties: Vranac, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Moskato Bianco, Pinot Gris, Viognier, and Sauvignon Blanc. The vines of different varieties, with local and indigenous types dominating, allow producers to use different combinations to find new wines with a unique and unforgettable taste. “Arhonto wine” was first presented to the market in the spring of 2010 as “Arhonto Vranac – selective harvest”, “Arhonto Vranac”, and “Arhonto Cabernet Sauvignon”; immediately they took a significant position on the wine map of Montenegro. Today, their production program consists of five different wines.
