Near Podgorica, in the vicinity of the village of Smokovac, trails are equipped for free climbing. The trails are located at the end of the Morača River canyon and are 3 kilometers away from the city center. The rocks in this region offer the best opportunities for climbing shorter, sports-oriented routes as well as longer routes up to 120 meters in height. The climbing season starts already at the end of winter (February, March) and lasts until late autumn (November, December), although it is possible to climb throughout the year, except for the coldest winter days and the hottest summer days.
