The wide green areas make Podgorica one of the “greenest” cities in Europe. Beautifully designed and maintained parks adorn the city and are a perfect place for relaxation and strolling. In the city center, there is one of the most beautiful and oldest parks, Njegošev Park, as well as Karađorđev and Kraljev Park. Above the Morača River, on 10,000 square meters, lies the Podgorica Park, which is one of the newest in the city, along with the Balašević Park. The Kruševac Children’s Park and numerous other parks with playgrounds and recreational facilities for children represent an ideal place for toddlers.
