The Risto Stijović Gallery is the gallery of the largest Montenegrin sculptor and founder of modern art in Montenegro, an it was founded in 1970 and since 2018 has been located in his birthplace, in Old Town. Risto Stijović achieved his work over a long period of time in five parts. These include women, figures, and figurines characterized as intimate sculpture, then a world of diverse experiences, a kingdom of extraordinary birds and animals. He created numerous portraits of his friends and contemporaries, as well as figures from the Mountain Wreath, which occupy a special place in his extensive oeuvre. Finally, he expressed his art through several complexes that belong to his interest in monumental public sculpture.
