The Spring Market event was opened last night on Independence Square with the performance of the great KIC POP CHOIR, and until May 21, citizens and visitors of Podgorica will have the opportunity to enjoy a diverse cultural and artistic program. Opening the event, the mayor, Prof. Dr. Olivera Injac, said that she is proud that Podgorica is continuously improving its cultural offer and thanks to this and similar manifestations and events, it has something to offer to all its fellow citizens and visitors throughout the year. “The month of May in our city traditionally has a celebratory character, and spring in itself symbolizes the awakening and joy of life, so this is a great opportunity to connect and enjoy different programs together,” said Injac. The mayor reminded that the Capital City provided prefabricated buildings-houses for the needs of the organization of the Spring Market, completely free of charge, and that the city administration also provides strong support to local producers in this way. Injac thanked the Tourism Organization of Podgorica, the Secretariat for Culture and the entire team of people who worked hard to ensure that the event was of high quality. She expressed her special thanks to the general sponsor of the Spring Market – Erste Bank, and to the Delegation of the European Union in Montenegro, which also supported the program of the event. “The spring market is not only an opportunity to enjoy cultural activities, but also to create new friendships. I am convinced that Independence Square will be the center of cultural events and good socializing in the coming days”, concluded Injac.Numerous visitors enjoyed the rich offer, while a little later the KIRA BAND was responsible for the good atmosphere on the Square. Marija Božović will perform tonight from 19:00, and the Forte band from 21:00.
