Šipčanik – a grand wine cellar, once a former military airfield, converted into an impressive space for storing and aging wine, located in the heart of the vineyard. The cellar is situated at an average depth of over 30 meters below ground. It is shaped like a winding tunnel, measuring 356 meters in length, with an average width of 13.5 meters and height of 7 meters, covering an area of approximately 7,000 square meters. The temperature is almost constant, ranging from 17 to 19 degrees Celsius, and the humidity in the air is 80%. For Plantaže, but also for all visitors, Šipčanik represents a true wine treasure trove, where over two million liters of wine are stored and aged in wooden barrels at any moment.
