Katyń (2007)
One of Wajda’s most personal films, also based on his own family experience. Instead of just reconstructing the Katyń massacre, the director builds the story through the destinies of women waiting for their husbands and sons – Polish officers who will never return.
The film speaks about loss, memory, and the struggle for the truth about the victims whose fate was a subject of official denial for decades.
Directed by: Andrzej Wajda

Cast: Andrzej Chyra, Maja Ostaszewska, Artur Żmijewski
