💡 First EYC 2028 activity: Hackathon "Mobility Tailored for Youth"🇲🇪🛵🛴🚗🚲🏃‍♂️🚙🚌🇪🇺

ATTENTION – WE ARE KICKING OFF! The European Youth Capital 2028 program begins!

Podgorica is taking its first step toward 2028 – we are officially starting the implementation of program activities for the European Youth Capital 2028, under the slogan “Youth Create the City”!

With the first activities come concrete opportunities and benefits for young people! More space for their ideas, participation in decision-making, skill development, and the chance to directly influence how Podgorica will develop.

💡 The first EYC 2028 activity is the hackathon “Mobility Tailored for Youth”!

The hackathon will gather high school students who, with the support of mentors, professors from the University of Montenegro, and representatives of the Capital City, will develop innovative solutions to improve traffic and mobility in Podgorica.

A special focus will be on the safer movement of pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers, as well as on improving school zones, intersections, signaling, and other critical points in the city.

The best-ranked solution will be rewarded, but the story doesn’t end there – it will also be officially reviewed by the competent services of the Capital City for its potential application in future development projects.
