On Saturday, May 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the Children’s Department of NB „Radosav Ljumović“ will host a fun gathering centered around the picture book “The Smartest Giant in Town” by Julia Donaldson.

This humorous story follows George the giant, who wants to be the smartest giant in town, but through encounters with animals in need of help, he discovers that true beauty comes from kindness and a big heart.

The picture book encourages conversations about empathy, friendship, sharing, and helping others, while gently showing children how even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

During the workshop, children will:

• take part in an interactive reading filled with conversation and imagination;
• explore the main character’s traits and connect them with their own experiences;
• talk about kindness, friendship, and helping others;
• participate in creative activities inspired by the story;
• develop empathy and cooperation through play.

What matters more — what we wear or how we treat others? Can kindness change someone’s day?

The workshop is intended for children aged six to nine and will be led by teacher Maja Petričević.
