🎭 The play “Jelena Savojska”, produced by KIC “Budo Tomović” in co-production with the Cultural Center “Nikola Đurković” from Kotor and KORIFEJ Theatre from Kolašin, will be performed as part of the first Showcase of Montenegrin theatre on Friday, May 15, in the DODEST Hall, starting at 8:00 PM.

🔹 Based on a text by Marija Sarap, the play is directed by Zoran Rakočević, and the role is performed by Jelena Đukić, with musical support by Bojan Peko Minić.

Her shadow today is present in many socio-political discourses, from the progressive integrative perception of Jelena of Savoy as a geographical and cultural link between this rugged land and the wider world, to the epic one in which she appears as a mountain fairy who outwitted an oppressive foreign dynasty with her presence and voice. Jelena was a woman of flesh and blood, essentially a rebel striving for a better world, better people, and a better society.
