The study-based inclusive exhibition of the Museum of the City of Zagreb, titled “We Are the New Life”, was opened on April 23, 2026 at 8:00 PM in Kuslev House and will remain open until May 22.

This exhibition is being realized in cooperation with the Museum of the City of Zagreb and the Public Institution Library of Accessible Formats of Montenegro “Vojislav Minić”.

The exhibition was created within the long-standing program of the Museum of the City of Zagreb, “Dialogue Through Touch”, which aims to promote and affirm the activities of persons with disabilities, as well as their active inclusion in museum content.

The theme of the exhibition is the 75th anniversary of the Drama Studio of blind and visually impaired people “Novi život” (New Life) from Zagreb. It was developed in close collaboration with this ensemble and the Teaching Institute of Public Health “Dr. Andrija Štampar”.

The curator of the exhibition is Aleksandra Bugar, curator at the Museum of the City of Zagreb.

The exhibition was part of the official program of the 12th International Festival of Blind and Visually Impaired People BIT – Blind in Theatre, which is held biennially in Zagreb. Its realization brings together many years of experience in accessibility and inclusion.

It is conceived as an EXHIBITION FOR EVERYONE.

Through about ten thematic units, it presents the work of the “Novi život” theatre, featuring rich archival material: posters, programs, newspaper articles, photographs, performance recordings, costumes, stage designs, awards and recognitions, as well as digitized content available through multimedia tools.

The exhibition is bilingual (Croatian and English), with captions in enlarged print and a readable font, adapted for people with visual impairments, including Braille and video content in sign language.

The working hours of Kuslev House (Podgorica) are:

• Tuesday – Saturday: 09:00 – 17:00
• Sunday and Monday: Closed
