ZEFEST: Play “Kerovi/The Dog Logs”at KIC “Budo Tomović”🎭

ZEFEST: Play “Kerovi/The Dog Logs”, April 24th at 8 PM, KIC “Budo Tomović”

The original play “The Dog Logs” has been performed on many stages in over twenty countries around the world. What makes the text unique is that two actors portray 10 different dog breeds.

In the Serbian version titled “Kerovi”, the roles are performed by Aleksandar Srećković (principal actor of the National Theatre in Belgrade) and Srđan Timarov (actor of the Yugoslav Drama Theatre). The text was translated by Milica Mihajlović from Atelje 212, and directed by Erol Kadić.

In 2026, the play celebrates its 10-year anniversary, with nearly 200 performances. At the Comedy Festival in Poreč in 2017, Kerovi won first prize – the Golden Tooth award.

The play consists of 10 stories that will primarily make the audience laugh, but also encourage reflection on what kind of “people” we are to our pets, and how we treat those who love us unconditionally. With subtlety, humor, and entertainment, it portrays scenes from the lives of different dog breeds—their fears, desires, and their love for humans, food, and the opposite sex. The play reminds us of the beauty and joy of life, not only for dogs, but for us humans as well.
