Guest performance: Theatre of the Blind and Visually Impaired “Novi život
” (Zagreb) & the play “How Tabu Searched for Freedom”
April 22nd at 8 PM, Main Hall of KIC Budo Tomović
Text: Petra Radin, Vojin Perić
Directed by: Petra Radin

The play “How Tabu Searched for Freedom” is an intimate story of blind actors, Vojin and Suzana. By performing their own experiences on stage—mainly about love and interpersonal relationships—they attempt to break taboos, stereotypes, and shame.
Through short alternating episodes, they depict fears of intimacy, inner struggles, unfulfilled love, and the desire for respect and understanding.
The visual concept questions the feeling of losing oneself in dysfunctional relationships and the journey toward rediscovering one’s identity, placing the actors in a central position where they are gradually immersed in the whiteness of their introspection.
