The Tourist Organisation of Podgorica invites you to join a light and attractive hiking tour to Zelenika (293 m above sea level), a hill rising west of Podgorica, above the areas of Mareza and Lješkopolje. Thanks to its location and easy access, Zelenika is one of the favorite recreational spots in the city’s surroundings, ideal for short yet rewarding nature getaways.
From the summit, there is a wide panoramic view of Podgorica, the Morača River valley, the surrounding hills, and distant mountain ranges. Due to its open vistas, Zelenika is an excellent location for photography and for getting to know the landscape of the Podgorica region.

Start of hike: Komanski Bridge (30 m above sea level)
Summit: Zelenika – 293 m above sea level
Elevation gain: approx. 260 m
Estimated ascent time: 1.5 – 2 hours of easy walking
The tour is of easy to moderate difficulty and suitable for recreational hikers, beginners, and all lovers of active time in nature. The trail consists of a combination of dirt and rocky terrain, with a gradual ascent and a shorter, steeper section just before reaching the summit.
Recommended equipment: hiking boots or sneakers with deeper tread, layered clothing adapted to weather conditions, a windproof jacket, at least 1 liter of water, and snacks.
Return to Podgorica is planned for the afternoon.
