Guest Performance: Theatre of the Blind and Visually Impaired “Novi život” (Zagreb) & the play “How Taboo Searched for Freedom”
A performance of the play “How Taboo Searched for Freedom” by the Theatre of the Blind and Visually Impaired “Novi život” will be held on Wednesday, April 22, at 8 PM, in the main hall of KIC “Budo Tomović”.
“How Taboo Searched for Freedom” explores themes of pity, shame, prejudice, and taboos related to people with disabilities. The play addresses topics that are often reduced to quiet sympathy and passing sighs. The creative team aims to speak openly about prejudice and stereotypes. Instead of silence and indifference, they engage in an open and honest performance.
The play is directed by Petra Radin, and stars Suzana Bliznac and Vojin Perić. The text is written by Petra Radin and Vojin Perić.
Costume and set design by Dunja Niemčić, music by Saša Miočić, stage movement by Branko Banković, and lighting design by Nenad Lalović. Sound recording was carried out by Marko Horvat – Avid Production and the Croatian Library for the Blind.
Admission is free.
