Exhibition about Svetlana Kana Radević will be presented in Podgorica
After successfully participating in this year’s Biennale of Architecture in Venice, the exhibition “Svetlana Kana Radević: Post-War Architecture between the Center and the Periphery” arrives in Podgorica.
From 19. december this year, to 1. march 2022. an exhibition on the work and creativity of the most important Montenegrin architect Svetlana Kana Radević will be opened to the public in the Modern Gallery of the Museum and the Gallery of Podgorica.
“It is completely natural for Kana to come home after a successful stay abroad. So it was during her lifetime, returning to Titograd after successful stays in the United States and Japan. After the excellent reaction that the exhibition provoked in the international public, the impression would be incomplete if it was not shown in Podgorica as well. We are happy that this is happening on the day of the liberation of Podgorica and we believe in the positive impressions of the people of Podgorica, “said the organizers of the exhibition.

The exhibition in Podgorica comes from Venice, where for the past six months, and within the segment of the main program of the Biennial of Architecture, “collateral events”, for the first time the international public was shown the character and work of Svetlana Kana Radević.

The exhibition has met with positive reviews that are, between other, been published in New York Times, New York Review of Books, Financial Times, The Tribune, as well as in Architectural Review, ArchDaily and many other relevant world media. The exhibit presents drawings, letters and photographs from Kana’s private archive, which was made available to the organizers by Kana’s family.
